FAQ’s
Do you accept insurance? YES!
Liana accepts the following:
Carelon Behavioral Health, Aetna, Cigna, Quest Behavioral Health, and BCBS of Massachusetts
We are also considered out of network providers. What this means is that, if we do not accept your specific plan for in network, you can be reimbursed for part of your session from your insurance for out of network benefits. If you have out-of-network benefits, they typically will reimburse you for 60-80% of the cost of each session. You will be responsible for paying for each session in full at time of appointment. Then we will provide you with a superbill that you submit and they will reimburse you depending on your plan.
How much does a therapy or coaching session cost?
Sessions with Liana are $175/session for 50 min. sessions.
Sessions with Grace are $225/session for 50 min. sessions
Coaching packages start at 3 months with optional payment plans. Ask about payment plans when you have your consult.
What can I expect in my intro call?
When you schedule your call through the contact link, you will be prompted to answer a few questions about what’s bringing you into therapy. We will call you at your scheduled time and ask if there’s anything else you’d like to share to see if we are a good enough fit to move on to our first session. We will discuss whether psychotherapy or chronic pain coaching is best for you. Then we’ll go through my practice policies and schedule our first session if appropriate.
What can I expect in the first session?
Before the appointment we’ll send you a couple of quick forms to complete. We’ll also send you a link for our video calls the morning of your appointment. Our first session is really where we’re going to get a sense of each other and where we can learn so much more about you. We will listen to you without judgment. We will come up with goals together of what you hope to accomplish in therapy.
During therapy you'll have an opportunity to vent, gain perspective and new insights, learn to challenge your thoughts and receive feedback. We will ask questions to help you get more clarification and understanding as well as mindfulness skills to help you cope. Sometimes therapy can be difficult because we are bringing difficult patterns and insight up to the surface. Sometimes it can be full of laughter and celebrations. Either way, we’re here to support you and will help you achieve the change and growth you are looking for.
How often is therapy and for how long?
We meet with most clients on a weekly or biweekly basis. We ask that you commit to weekly therapy for the first 3 months so that we can build a strong relationship and you can start seeing progress right away. After that, we will discuss whether weekly or biweekly sessions are appropriate for you.
How long will I need to be in therapy?
How long you’re in therapy for depends on what you are wanting to address. We offer depth psychotherapy with skill based practices which means this work can take on average anywhere from 4-6 months or we have clients who choose to remain in therapy for much longer. Some people choose to stay in therapy because they have seen improvements and still really enjoy having ongoing support and a place to process their thoughts and feelings each week.
Good Faith Estimate for Psychotherapy clients
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees. Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.
