Liana Mauro
LPC-A, Reiki, Pilates, Chronic Pain Coach
(supervised by Frank Cohn, LPC-S)
Hi! I’m Liana. I’m excited to get to know you and join you along your path of self discovery and healing. My therapy style is a blend of collaborative, curious, playful, and direct. I believe there are many ways to heal which is why I incorporate a blend of approaches like mindfulness, breathwork, grounding techniques and other holistic approaches tailored to your specific personality and struggles in order to find your best path to healing.
I specialize in working with people who are having difficulty navigating life’s complexities or those who simply feel something isn’t quite right. This could look like not feeling happy about how life repeatedly plays out, struggling through a transition, ongoing depression or anxiety, chronic pain, relationship concerns or longing for a deeper understanding and connection to themselves in order to more effortlessly live an intentional life.
I love working with clients who have a deep desire for growth and looking to discover deeper meaning and purpose. I also love offering therapy for therapists. I believe we are complex beings which is why I am committed to holistic healing. I’ve found this to include a variety of things like talk therapy, art, movement, dance, breathwork, mindfulness, sound, spirituality, and anything in between.
My personal healing journey through therapy, movement, grounding, art, dance, writing, and a variety of spiritual and energetic work forms the basis and lens through which I approach therapy and is why I became a holistic psychotherapist. I believe the integration of holistic modalities more effectively heals than approaching healing in parts. I am an LPC-A, Reiki Master, and fully certified Pilates instructor with a focus on injury prevention and rehabilitation and neurological conditions.
I obtained my Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from St Edward’s University in Austin in 2008. I have a passion for helping and am so grateful to be able to be a part of my clients’ healing journey. Austin is home and in my free time I also teach Pilates, love taking walks in nature, dancing and hanging with my kitty cats. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends and can nerd out over superhero and AI shows, crossword puzzles, and Taylor Swift.
Currently seeing clients virtually and in person for walk therapy. If you’re interested in scheduling an intro call with me, please click below.
