Yoga for Mental Health Workshop
Download my virtual workshop to learn how to incorporate the principles of yoga into your therapy & coaching sessions with clients.
Yoga and psychotherapy blend beautifully together, but it can be hard to understand exactly how to do that. Even after becoming a yoga teacher, I still wasn’t sure how to blend the two.
As a coach or therapist, you too may be yearning to bring more yogic practices into your sessions with clients, yet you wonder:
Will the clients be receptive?
Do I know enough to bring these practices in?
How exactly do I do that in an effective way?
How do I merge what I’m already doing with these new practices that I know can take my sessions deeper?
If this feels like you and you want to learn more about how to blend yoga principles into your therapy or coaching, this yoga for mental health workshop is for you! These yogic practices, when taught and guided, can provide a beautiful grounded way of working with clients, as they can help implement a deeper connection with the self. Ground your clients during sessions and give them tools to feel more confident implementing them into their life.
Yoga Therapy is So Much More
Yoga is seen in mainstream society as a physical practice. But the world of yoga includes much more. Examples of these practices that can be included in therapy or coaching sessions are:
Breath-work to help calm the nervous system and connect deeper with the body
Inviting in and guiding clients through meditation in your sessions
Trauma-sensitive language around guiding practices in session
Ways to track the client’s body language and help them become more aware of tracking their own physical sensations
In this yoga for mental health workshop, you will learn some of the basic principles of yoga and how they relate to psychotherapy with a trauma-informed lens. You will also learn somatic yoga practices to implement with yourself and with your clients. Plus, the convenience of online yoga therapy training allows you to engage in this continuing education offering from wherever you are in the state of Texas or elsewhere in the United States.
