FAQ’s
Can I use out-of-network benefits?
In some cases you may be eligible to use out-of-network insurance benefits. You will be responsible for paying for each session in full at time of appointment. If appropriate, I will provide a super bill for each session that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
How much does a therapy or coaching session cost?
Therapy sessions range from $175-$220/50 min session billed at the end of each session
Coaching packages start at 3 months with optional payment plans. Ask about payment plans when you have your consult.
*Sliding scale options available upon request.
How much will I pay for therapy using out-of-network benefits?
I am an out of network provider which means you pay upfront and I will provide you with a superbill after each session so you can get reimbursed by your insurance. If you have out-of-network benefits, they typically will reimburse you for 60-80% of the cost of each session.
What can I expect in my intro call?
When you schedule your call through the contact link, you will be prompted to answer a few questions about what’s bringing you into therapy. I will call you at your scheduled time and ask if there’s anything else you’d like to share to see if we are a good enough fit to move on to our first session. We will discuss whether psychotherapy or yoga therapy is best for you. Then we’ll go through my practice policies and schedule our first session if appropriate.
What can I expect in the first session?
Before the appointment I'll send you a couple of quick forms to complete. I'll also send you a link for our video calls the morning of your appointment. Our first session is really where we’re going to get a sense of each other and where I can learn so much more about you. I will listen to you without judgment. We will come up with goals together of what you hope to accomplish in therapy.
During therapy you'll have an opportunity to vent, gain perspective and new insights, learn to challenge your thoughts and receive feedback. I will ask questions to help you get more clarification and understanding as well as mindfulness skills to help you cope. Sometimes therapy can be difficult because we are bringing difficult patterns and insight up to the surface. Sometimes it can be full of laughter and celebrations. Either way, I am here to support you and will help you achieve the change and growth you are looking for.
How often is therapy and for how long?
I meet with most of my clients on a weekly basis. I ask that you commit to weekly therapy for the first 3 months so that we can build a strong relationship and you can start seeing progress right away. After that, we will discuss whether weekly or biweekly sessions are appropriate for you.
How long will I need to be in therapy?
How long you’re in therapy for depends on what you are wanting to address. I offer depth psychotherapy with skill based practices which means this work can take on average anywhere from 4-6 months or I have clients who choose to remain in therapy for much longer. Some people choose to stay in therapy because they have seen improvements and still really enjoy having ongoing support and a place to process their thoughts and feelings each week.
What if I’m not ready to start therapy?
If you're not totally ready to start therapy yet, I have an online course you may be interested in, Nervous System Reset. The course is meant to give you tools to help you build your toolkit of skills to cope with difficulties in life. This course is meant to give you ongoing support whether you are in therapy or not. The course is $95 and will teach you simple practices that will create sustainable change in your overall well being. You will:

Good Faith Estimate for Psychotherapy clients
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees. Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.
